Gay Leifer

Banking Center Manager First Security Bank Vilonia

I have lived in Vilonia since the 2nd grade.I grew up and graduated in Vilonia, and am proud to call Vilonia my home. I have two children that also graduated from here. Logan, 23, is in his last semester at U of A in Fayetteville. Katie, 26, works at First Security in Conway. I have 2 grandchildren: Kamden-5, and Kennedy-5 months, and they are my heart!

My vision for Vilonia: I hope to see our community continue to grow and thrive. We are a very strong, family-oriented community that always pulls together when the need arises. Small town Vilonia has things that larger cities have, such as awesome schools, places to eat, shop, and do business, but on more of a personal level. We work together, worship together, play ball together, but most importantly we rally together in times of need.

As a board member, I want to help this community grow and flourish with continuing beautification efforts. The businesses in our community deserve support from the city and the chamber to ensure growth. I will do what I can to make sure Vilonia continues to be the best community that we proudly call home.

Carolyn Dent

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoy photography.

My vision is for our city to be safe and secure for all. I would like to see Vilonia provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds to live in the city, raise a healthy family, and lead a productive, fulfilling life. I would like for Vilonia to thrive economically. I would like to assist in promoting unity between Vilonia residents and business personnel and to create lifelong positive relationships.

Jody Lawrence

I have lived in Vilonia all my life. I care about our community, its residents, and businesses. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, I love my family, working hard, hunting, fishing, and farming.

I want to see Vilonia grow, but more than that I want to see our businesses and community be successful. Shop Vilonia first. Support our businesses and community.

The purpose of the chamber is to be here for our community. Anyway that I can help our businesses and our community to be successful is why I joined as a board member.

I was born and raised in Vilonia. My husband and I are both therapists and we founded Vilonia Therapy Services in 2012. We have 3 children in the Vilonia School District and love being involved in the community and lives of its citizens. My children are 5th generation Vilonia residents and we love our Vilonia Eagles!

We opened our therapy clinic here because we love Vilonia, its schools, and its people. Our vision is to continue seeing Vilonia grow in population, but also in its services that we offer to those building their lives and families here. We want to see its businesses, churches, schools, and neighborhoods grow and blossom.

As a board member, I want to promote current businesses through recognition/marketing and to encourage and welcome new businesses. I also want to promote churches, youth sports, music/art, and community events. I want to understand the needs of our citizens and businesses and to promote positive beliefs and affections among our community and bless its citizens.

Mike Matos

Vilonia Funeral Home

I grew up in Beebe, AR and married my high school sweetheart at 19 years of age. We have 3 children, Mykala, Kohlman, and Loren. I am passionate about helping people and all of my work in life has been centered around service. I attended Arkansas State University in Beebe and Mountain Home, and studied Mortuary Service. I have been an Arkansas licensed funeral director since 2004.

I believe Vilonia is a great town. My vision would be to see more small business growth. I would also like to see more families move to Vilonia because we have a wonderful school district and our town is a quiet, family-oriented community. I want to see our current small businesses unified and work toward attracting more small business, and to see our population grow. I also want to work toward creating networking opportunities between chamber members.
